A Ghanaian who had moved to Toronto, Canada to study and work, Marvin Baah Boadu, has been shot and killed.
Marvin was found shot at the rear of the apartment building he lived in around 8 p.m. on Monday, October 7.
Toronto Police were called around 8:12 p.m. to a shooting in the Clearview Heights and Trethewey Drive area.
Arriving officers found a male victim in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers performed life-saving measures and transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
According to a report from a Canadian journalist, neighbors said Boadu was shot in the apartments on floor two and made his way to the back of the building.

Police have not formally identified the deceased but friends revealed his name as Marvin Baah Boadu, a Ghanaian.
Boadu went to Canada to study and work to take care of his family back home.
News of his death stunned social media users, particularly those who formerly knew him.
“He left home to feed home and now see, may we never die before our time,” one user commented.
Another said: “He was my mate in college, the sudden news broke our heart. Rest well Marvin 😭😭”
