Taylor Swift Tops Rihanna As World’s Richest Female Musician With $1.6 Billion Net Worth

Published by

Taylor Swift has officially overtaken Rihanna to become the world’s richest female musician, thanks to the massive success of her Eras Tour. According to Forbes, Swift’s net worth has surged to an astounding $1.6 billion, up $500 million from last October when she was first declared a billionaire with an estimated worth of $1.1 billion.

Rihanna, who ranks just behind Swift with a $1.4 billion fortune, has built her wealth primarily through her beauty and fashion brands, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty, rather than her music.

Swift, who is now 34, became the first musician to achieve billionaire status solely from the value of her music and performances in 2023. Her music catalog alone is estimated at $600 million, while her tours and royalties have brought in an additional $600 million. The Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and will conclude in December, has played a significant role in her financial leap. Last year, the first leg of the tour alone earned her $190 million. It also became the first-ever concert tour to surpass $1 billion in total gross, according to Pollstar.

In addition to her musical success, Swift has accumulated $125 million in real estate, further cementing her position as the world’s richest female musician.
