Big Win For Ghana As Fella Makafui Features In Season Two Of Popular Netflix Series

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Fella Makafui has made Ghana proud after she shared photos from her new series.

The actress featured in the Nigerian Series known as Anikulapo. Aníkúlápó released on 30 September 2002 is a fantasy film produced by Kunle Afolayan and distributed by Netflix. The season one starred; Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, and Hakeem Kae-Kazim.

After the massive positive views and feedback the first season received, the producer decided to release a second season. Kunle Afolayan, the producer took to his social media page to announce that Netflix has approved another season of Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.

He also disclosed the line-up of talented actors set to join the upcoming season two of the Nigerian series and it featured Ghana’s very own Fella Makafui who played a major role.

“We’re thrilled that Netflix has renewed Anikulapo for another season. We take pride in authentic storytelling, and the series reflects the richness of Nigerian culture and history. This season, we’ll delve deeper into the complexities of the slave trade, featuring actors from Portugal, Ghana, and Nigeria to highlight the global connections in our shared history. Filming in Oyo State and Ghana helped us ground the story in places rich with our heritage. We’re excited to continue sharing this journey with the world and celebrating the depth of our culture, instilling a sense of pride and appreciation in our audience’’. He wrote on his social media page.

Fella Makafui also decided to share the good news with her fans.
