Fetish Priests Association To Stage Nationwide Protest Against Galamsey – “Unexplained Curses And Deaths To Follow”

The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana, led by its President Kwaku Bonsam, has announced plans to stage a nationwide protest to address the escalating problem of illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey. The association expressed grave concern over the destruction of the country’s natural resources, particularly water bodies and forests, as a result of these illegal activities.

In an interview on Kasapa FM, Kwaku Bonsam stated that the environmental destruction caused by galamsey has reached an intolerable level. He noted that the association, which boasts over 2,000 members from across Ghana, is determined to take firm action to safeguard the nation’s natural resources.

Kwaku Bonsam highlighted the severe damage caused by illegal mining, including the contamination of water bodies, destruction of fertile lands, and the growing environmental crisis that poses a threat to future generations. In response, the Fetish Priests Association is not only planning a peaceful demonstration but is also preparing for a spiritual approach to deal with those involved in galamsey.

He warned that within two weeks of the protest, there would be consequences, including “unexplained curses and deaths” targeting those responsible for the environmental devastation.

This announcement comes as the nation continues to debate the issue of galamsey, with numerous stakeholders advocating for stronger measures to put an end to the practice.
