A GoFundMe started for Warrenton Virginia high school student, Caden Girard following his tragic death has raised $8,000 for his family.
Girard unexpectedly died Friday, October 4th, 2024 after suffering a medical emergency.
“Friends & family!! Yesterday, Friday (10/4) the CNU community lost a captain due to an unexpected medical emergency. Please keep the Girard family in your prayers as well as the cnu community during this time,” a colleague wrote.
To aid his family, a GoFundMe was started to help with his burial and memorial costs. The fundraiser, with a aim of $8,000, already raised the sum.
Caden Girard was a student at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. He just started his freshman year and was already making waves in the school having been named a captain.
