Dr Jackie Stone, Controversial Doctor Who Treated COVID In Zimbabwe Using Ivermectin, Dies Via S*ic*de

Dr Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Corey Stone, a doctor who faced legal challenges for her controversial COVID treatments in Zimbabwe at the height of the pandemic, has died.

Stone’s death occurred Thursday, October 3, 2024. Her cause of death was suicide.

“Dr Jackie Stone, my friend from Zimbabwe, the most outspoken doctor in Africa has died. Jackie took her own life on Thursday. I am gutted and devastated. She was my friend, my sister and our mother,” a close friend of the deceased announced her passing.

Dr Stone of Kadoma, Zimbabwe, was educated at the University of Cape Town where she received a BMedSc. She also attended the Royal College of Physicians.

Stone rose to prominence during the pandemic when the The Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ) issued a warning that she was treating COVID-19 patients in an unlicensed facility using unregistered medicines.

“The premises at which she is treating COVID-19 patients have not been registered for purposes of medical practice and thus posing a health risk to the public.

“She is putting the lives of the public at risk by treating the patients with unregistered medicines including medicines for animal use,” the MDPCZ said.

She was also accused of conducting clinical trials without the full authorization of the relevant medical bodies.

Stone had developed a ‘life-saving protocol of ivermectin and zinc’ for COVID, the Aussie Freedom Flyers said following her death and for that ‘she was dragged through the courts 27 times.’

She was found guilty by courts in Zimbabwe which significantly affected her medical practice.

Following her conviction, Stone defiantly declared herself not guilty. She said the drugs she used in her treatment were not illegal and the bodies trying her had overstepped their boundaries.

“I am NOT GUILTY of prescribing Ivermectin and silver as they are not illegal drugs under Section 29 of the Medicines and Allied Substance Control act….The Medical Council have overstepped their mandate…” she said.

Her death stunned her loyal friends some of whom dubbed her a victim of fighting the system.

In the words of her friend Bob Scott, Dr Jackie Stone was one of the very few who was courageous enough to take on an entire system without any fear. However, such battles are often lost as the system is too powerful to be denied.

“There are very few people who are willing to stand up against a System as it’s costly. You risk losing everything,” he said. “What is even more diabolical is when the system destroys you while you are saving others! Such was the case with Dr Jackie Stone who saved thousands of lives in Zimbabwe and yet took her own life on Oct 3rd after having lost everything and the ability to practice medicine,” one friend wrote.
