Switzerland-based Ghanaian social media content creator Samsonwaa has expressed concern over a recent social media post by rapper Medikal, which has raised alarm among his fans. In the post, Medikal shared his wishes for his funeral, stating that he does not want anyone to mourn him because he has “already lived life to the fullest.” This message has sparked widespread concern about his mental well-being.
In his emotional post, Medikal urged his family to take care of his mother, new wife, and child after his passing, suggesting that 50 percent of his assets should be allocated to them.
Reacting to this, Samsonwaa in a video called on Medikal’s family, particularly his mother, to get closer to him. In her message, she said, “This is the time for the family to get closer to Medikal. We might take some things as a joke, but the stage he has reached means his family needs to step in. Looking at his post, it seems like he might be going through a lot, but can’t express it. Get close to your son,” she urged Medikal’s mother.
She continued, “This is not the time for friends because none of the people around him can give him the advice he truly needs. His loved ones need to pray for him and encourage him. Medikal might say he’s strong, but we all need to support him. His recent tweets are concerning and not normal to me.”
Samsonwaa also advised, “Medikal’s mom, please check on him. Even if he says he’s okay and just joking, keep a close eye on him. If this were abroad, he would likely be referred to a psychologist. We all love Medikal, and that’s why we’re concerned.”
