Lucas Coly, a musician and social media star has died, throwing his fans into complete shock. He was 27.
Coly’s death was confirmed by his manager who shared a post to Instagram announcing the extremely sad news. He died on Thursday, October 2nd, 2024.
“Rest in peace @iamlucascoly I love you bro. My heart is ripped in half. Wait for me up there 🙏” the post from his manager read.
Coly’s death occurred a short while after he posted a cryptic message to social media reading ‘love y’all’. No cause of death has been officially revealed but there are speculations he committed suicide.
His manager also hinted at Lucas’ cause of death as he called on people to check on their friends when their struggling mentally.
“There’s a hole in my heart right now Lucas. We used to speak on our struggles all the time but smile for the fans,” he wrote. “So many people hurt us again and again but we had each other. I don’t know what to do now… I refuse to believe you are gone. Heart ripped to shreds. God send him back here. Please 💔 I’m broken over here #riplucascoly #checkonyourfriends”
French-American rapper Lucas Coly aka Kid Lucas was born in France and moved with his family to the United States when he was eight. He grew up in Texas and Detroit.
Lucas Coly rose to fame on Vine over a decade ago when he started sharing videos raping in English and French. He managed to build his social media following on Twitter and Instagram as well and currently has over a millions followers on Instagram and half a million on his YouTube page.

Coly’s fame rose even more after he began dating Instagram star Amber H in 2017 and they launched a YouTube channel called Lucas & Amber in 2018.
He was also in a group with Willie Fryson III and Dillyn Troy for a while but their rap group, Diamondz, eventually split for them to pursue their solo careers.
News of Coly’s death has left social media shook and sparked numerous reactions from distraught fans.
