Another Adams Mahama Story – Prison Officer Lynched to Death in Kasoa After Being Mistaken for An Armed Robber

Gideon Adu-Boakye, an officer with the Ghana Prisons Service was lynched to death in Kasoa Iron City in circumstances similar to what led to the death of army officer, Adams Mahama.

Adu-Boakye who is stationed at the Nsawam Prisons reportedly went back home to visit family at Kasoa when he was killed.

According to reports, he left home on Sunday morning but never returned that day.

The disturbed family placed a report with the Ngleshie Amanfro police the next day and investigations led to the discovery of his dead body in a gutter at the junction of the Hope of Restoration School.

According to residents who spoke to the media, the officer was lynched late at night and he was heard screaming that he was a prison officer all to no avail.

The body of the deceased has meanwhile been deposited at the police hospital morgue.
