If It Was Writing Diss Song Against A Woman, You’d Be In The Studio Recording – Peeps Bash Sarkodie For Remaining Silent Over Galamsey Issues

Some Ghanaians have lambasted Award winning rapper, Sarkodie for remaining mute over the issues surrounding Galamsey activities in Ghana.

Sarkodie who used to criticize the previous Government has suddenly become mute.

This has raised a concern among his fans who have lambasted him for refusing to speak on the issues regarding the arrest of innocent Galamsey protestors.

For many years, illegal mining has been a source of frustration for many Ghanaians who have been forced to live with its consequences. The Galamsey activities ruins the forests, contaminates waterways, and endangers the ecology and public health of the nation.

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) claims that hazardous substances including cyanide and mercury have severely contaminated important water sources like the Pra, Ankobra, and Birim rivers.  This led to the protest by Democracy Hub. But they were arrested and detained and currently in jail.

Reacting to this, Ghanaians have called on celebrities including Sarkodie to speak against their arrest and call for their immediate release.
