Cash Gaudio, Lynchburg Teen Killed by Murderer on the Run Nathaniel Lee Pridemore in Apparent Road Rage Incident

Cash Gaudio, a 19-year-old recent high school graduate has been shot and killed in a road rage incident in Lynchburg VA.

Gaudio’s death occurred Monday, September 30, 2024 around 3:45 PM, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of Fairlea Court Monday and found a young adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, later identified as Cash Gaudio, was transported to the Lynchburg General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following the shooting Gaudio’s family, particularly his father Micah, took to social media to call for the arrest of the perpetrator who was holding a baby at the time of the crime.

Posting a photo of the shooter, Micah Gaudio wrote: “This man while holding a baby, just shot my son Cash multiple times in his car while in his driveway at home. We believe it may have been due to road rage.”

At the time, Micah begged for prayers for his son who was in critical condition but he later passed away.

Police arrested 33-year-old Lynchburg resident, Nathaniel Lee Pridemore for the shooting.

Pridemore was found to have earlier in the day shot and killed a woman at his residence before the incident with Gaudio.

He has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm, and Felony Child Endangerment, among others.

Gaudio according to his Facebook page had recently completed high school and was working, running his own Auto Detailing Service named Cash’s Clean Detailing in Lynchburg.

Family and friends sent out condolence messages following news of his demise.

“I’m so sorry to hear of this young man’s passing. My condolences and prayers go out to the family!” one message read.
