Portraying Protests In Films Is More Effective Than Demonstrating On the Streets” – Adjetey Anang Tells Actors

Published by

Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has encouraged his colleagues to use their platform as actors to address societal issues through films rather than joining street protests.

In an interview with 3FM, the actor highlighted that portraying protest scenes in movies can be a more powerful way to create awareness and drive change.

“We are good at telling stories that resonate with people. There are real issues out there that need our attention, and instead of protesting on the streets, we can incorporate these into the roles we play,” he said. Anang believes that delivering strong messages through film can have a greater impact. “By crafting protest roles, our voices can be heard more effectively than by simply marching in the streets,” he added.

His comments follow public calls for celebrities to join the ongoing #OccupyJulorbiHouse and #FreeTheCitizens protests.
