Rapper Kwaw Kese has joined the chorus of criticism against the government over the arrest and two-week detention of protesters in the #OccupyJulorbi house protests.
He expressed frustration with those in power, pointing out that they seem to have forgotten their authority comes from the people, and therefore, they cannot mistreat them at will.
Kwaw Kese warned that the leaders’ actions could eventually lead to the people rising up against them. In a tweet, he said, “One day, the people’s power will surpass that of the government. Only then will they realize they’re working for the people, not their political parties.”
