A taxi driver has broken his silence, claiming he can direct authorities to a location in Osino Heman where a pregnant woman was allegedly buried alive as part of a gold-seeking ritual. The driver, who chose to remain anonymous, made this shocking revelation during a call-in segment on Adom FM’s popular Dwaso Nsem programme.
Recalling the incident from four years ago, the driver said he was hired by three armed miners who, along with a fetish priest, led him to the site where the horrific act took place. “They picked up a Mallam from Sehwi Akontombra, and we drove to Osino Heman. When we arrived, the men already had a pregnant woman they planned to bury alive,” he revealed.
He noted that the pregnant woman pleaded for water, but the Mallam refused, claiming it would ruin the ritual. “The woman begged for water, but the Mallam said giving her any would spoil the ritual and stop them from getting more gold. They buried her alive while she was still thirsty, right in front of me” he recounted.
“They finished everything in less than 10 minutes. They pointed their guns at me, preventing me from leaving the car. After witnessing this horrifying scene, I immediately reported the incident to the Osino police, but the officer in charge dismissed my story and warned me to stay silent,” the driver added.
For the past four years, the haunting memory of the event has tormented the driver, leaving him restless. Seeking closure, he decided to come forward on the radio, hoping to draw attention to the crime.
