Kelvynboy – I have Been Trying To Make Peace With Stonebwoy

Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Kelvyn Brown, popularly known as Kelvynboy, has revealed that he has been trying to reconcile with his former mentor, Stonebwoy, for the past five years without success.

During an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty on Thursday, September 26, 2024, Kelvynboy expressed his frustration over his strained relationship with Stonebwoy.

Kelvynboy, who was once a close collaborator under Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group, has struggled to mend the rift since leaving the label. “I’ve been trying to make peace with Stonebwoy for five years now, but to no avail,” he admitted.

He also shared that their fallout has dragged on for so long that he can barely remember what caused it.

Kelvynboy went on to explain that while it isn’t something he dwells on daily, he wishes they could resolve the issue. “It’s not the first thing I think about when I wake up, but when it comes to my issue with Stonebwoy, I hope we can resolve it,” he told Andy Dosty.

However, despite his efforts, he believes Stonebwoy is not yet ready to settle the differences. “Any time we’ve tried, I don’t think he’s ready. But me, I dey,” he remarked.

Their relationship took a hit in 2019 when Stonebwoy cut ties with Kelvynboy after the latter was signed to the Burniton Music Group.
