Afrobeats megastar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, thrilled the audience at a special United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) event. This performance is part of the United Bank of Africa’s (UBA) 75th anniversary celebration, happening during the 79th session of the UNGA in New York.
UNGA, one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, serves as its main deliberative, policymaking, and representative body, with its headquarters in New York. The session has brought together world leaders to discuss pressing global issues.
Davido’s energetic performance comes just days after Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy made history by hosting an opening session at the UNGA. His set, featuring hits like ‘Aye,’ ‘Skelewu,’ and ‘Risky,’ has the audience singing along, adding a vibrant Afrobeats flair to the prestigious international event.
