A Missouri State Bears Linebacker, Cooper Roy, is currently battling for his life after being involved in a serious car accident.
Roy was in a head-on collision late Tuesday leaving him in critical but stable condition.
He damaged his legs and hands and has undergone surgeries as he continues to battle to get well.
Friends and family are calling for prayers to get him through the current difficult condition he’s in.
One post said: “PLEASE continue to pray for Coopers legs and left hand. Pray specifically for NO infection. Infection determines so many things. Pray for total healing in his body. Our God is a God of miracles and he needs one. Cooper has a lot of surgeries to get through. Please start praying for the surgeons and their teams.”
Roy, of Fairgrove but originally from Springfield, Missouri, graduated from Glendale High School where he was one of the best pass rushers in state history. He had a great freshman season at Missouri State, posting 9 total tackles, 3 sacks and a QB hurry for the Bears, and ranking 5th for tackles on the team. He was working with the PGA of America as well.
Cooper’s condition remains precarious and more updated would be provided going forward.
