Captain Smart has asked the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare to apologize to Ghanaians for failing to protect them.
According to him during his show on Onua TV at 6am, Dampare has disappointed Ghanaians for allowing his men arrest and manhandle protestors.
Captain Smart added that the actions of the protestors were for a good cause and IGP allowing his men arrest them only proves how bias he is.
He cited examples where top people in the Government who committed heinous crimes were allowed to scot-free but innocent protestors were arrested for expressing their grievances about the ongoing illegal mining activities affecting the water bodies in Ghana.
“Since when did it become a criminal offense to protest against bad things going on in the country? Look at the number of communities suffering as a result of the galamsey activities. If these protestors who are tired of the failed promises of the Government have decided to peacefully protest about it, you are arresting them. This only shows how bias you are. You are a total disappointment and you need to apologize to Ghana, Mr Dampare. You have failed Ghanaians!” Captain Smart bemoaned.
