Dr Ram Garg, Taylor Michigan Neurologist Arrested for Falsely Prescribing Painkillers

Dr Ram S. Garg, a neurologist in Taylor, Michigan has been arrested for being a major pill trafficker.

Officers of the Taylor Police Department stormed Dr Garg’s neurology practice located at 14625 Telegraph Rd Taylor near Eureka Road on Tuesday with a search warrant.

Dr Garg was arrested and another team of officers searched his home located in West Bloomfield.

According to officers of Taylor PD, Dr Garg has been prescribing painkillers without the proper medical procedures.

He is accused of falsely prescribing painkillers and opiods to thousands of people, some of whom resell them on the streets while others become hooked on them and seek out stronger drugs, all contributing to the devastating opiod epidemic ravaging the United States that has led to countless overdose deaths and destroyed the lives of millions.

An officer told WDIV Local 4 in Detroit: “Prescribing these pills without the legal medical proper reason to be prescribing them is not only illegal but that causes huge issue with not only in this city and state [but] the addiction and the overdoses and the deaths that spin off that is terrible,”

Dr Garg is accused of running this practice for over four years, falsifying records and writing false prescriptions.

Following his arrest, Dr Garg told the media that he’s innocent.

“I’m shocked…I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said.

Who is Dr Ram Garg?

Ram S. Garg MD is a neurologist based in Taylor MI with over 53 years of experience in the medical field. The 76-year-old was educated at Jln Medical College, graduating in 1970. He has worked for decades as a neurologist treating Neurodegenerative Disorders, Epilepsy, and Headache.

He runs the Ram S. Garg Neurology practice in Taylor which according to its website, evaluates and treats neurological conditions in pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

He is also affiliated with medical facilities such as Beaumont Hospital, Trenton and Beaumont Hospital Taylor.

Reviews for his work are mixed, while some with neurological issues praise him highly, others are sceptical. One reviewer was pissed after he told his wife their child needed AHHD medicine aged only 7, when the mother went to his practice for a eye and head injury.
