Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s recent looks to GOWA awards event has caused a stir on social media.
Afua Asantewaa chose to wear a pink gown to the event. She explained during a short interview that she wanted to rock an outfit she has never rocked in her life.
This year’s edition of Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA Awards), took place at the Wesley Towers, Accra on Saturday, September, 21. 2024.
The award is to reward and celebrate women who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields by way of impacting their communities.
This year’s theme “The role of women in the sustainable of peace” was carefully selected to merge with the upcoming elections.
Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum , CEO of ASKOF Productions, organizers of the event, explained that “We do this to encourage women to do more, when our communities are developed, it shapes our children, when our children are shaped, we have a better and a stronger nation.”
Despite her brilliance shown at the awards event, her outfit completely ruined the impeccable taste the event was supposed to have.
