Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team couldn’t contain their excitement after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secured the coveted number one position on the ballot paper for the upcoming December 7 presidential elections. Their campaign bus was filled with jubilant cheers.

In a video online, you can see Dr Bawumia and his team singing and jubilating on the bus.

The NPP’s Director of Elections, Evans Nimako, drew the lucky number during the Electoral Commission’s balloting event held in Accra.

Meanwhile, the NPP’s main opposition, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by John Dramani Mahama, secured the number eight position on the ballot.
