Evangelist Suro Nyame has expressed his frustration with Ghanaian youth, labeling them as lazy and unproductive due to their preoccupation with leisure activities rather than focusing on self-improvement.
In an interview with Kingdom FM, he expressed concern about the stark difference between the mindset of Ghanaian youth and their counterparts in countries like the United States.
He lamented that instead of working towards bettering their lives, the youth in Ghana tend to focus on superficial pleasures like “sex and food,” particularly during cold or rainy weather. “The youth abroad, like in the US, have a different mindset, but here in Ghana, all our youth think about is sex when the weather is cold, and food,” he said.
Suro Nyame further criticized the Ghanaian youth for being overly dependent on politicians to change the country without taking personal responsibility for their own development. According to him, the unwillingness of the youth to change their mindset is hindering their progress. “We are the most useless youth worldwide, especially the men,” he added.
The preacher called for a transformation in how Ghanaian youth approach life, stressing the importance of self-reliance and a shift in priorities.
