Young Ghanaian political activist Ralph De Fellow Ghanaians has lashed out at the government once again after the National Cathedral site was swiftly re-fenced few days after people broke into the site to swim.
During the recent ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstration against the Electoral Commission, some activists stormed the National Cathedral Site in Accra.
Ralph was recorded taking down posters of the NPP flagbearer, Dr Bawumia, at the site. Protestors gained access to the Cathedral site and discovered a pit filled with water in which some of them swam.
The discovery led to a rekindling of the national discussion around the Cathedral project and exposed the government’s wastage of over $58m to dig a pit which has now become a swimming pool.
In light of that, the government has quickly sealed off access to the Cathedral site, installing a new fence around the facility in a day.
Ralph went back to the site, marvelling at how quickly the government established a fence to keep them out but failing to move that quickly on more important projects.
