Veteran Ghanaian actor Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness. His death was confirmed by Akunu Dake, Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Development and a close friend, through a heartfelt post on Facebook.
In the post, Dake shared a photo of the two of them and reminisced about their long-standing friendship and their time working together, particularly during the 1990s PANAFEST event. “This is very difficult for me. Rest in peace my good friend and colleague Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis. Able Deputy Executive Director during our PANAFEST years in the 1990s,” he mourned.
Jackson-Davis was widely recognized for his impactful roles on screen, often portraying high-status figures in society. He was best known for his performances in films such as Beasts of No Nation (2015), The Storm (2024), My Very Ghanaian Wedding (2017), and Chasing Lullaby, among others.
His passing marks a significant loss in the Ghanaian entertainment industry, where he was admired for his versatility and depth in his acting roles.
