An American boy dubbed The Stoneway kid was injured in an accident at a Seattle crosswalk at 12-years-old, suffered serious injuries and sued the city winning millions of dollars.
The Stoneway kid accident occurred at Stone Way North and North 41st Street in Seattle WA, sometime in 2005.
The kid suffered serious injuries and his mother sued the City, winning him millions that he’s living off to this day.

What is the Stoneway Kid accident?
The Stoneway kid was an American middle schooler who was seriously injured in an accident sometime in 2005.
On Saturday September 14th, 2024, the reddit user Gethighflykites carried out an AMA (ask me anything) on r/AMA, in which he revealed he became a millionaire as a teenager.
While not revealing his identity, u/Gethighflykites revealed that he was the Stoneway Kid in reply to links posted by other users about a kid who got injured in Seattle in 2005.

That accident involved Dominick May-Douglass who suffered severe brain damage in the accident when walking home from Hamilton Middle School and got struck by a car while in the crosswalk at Stone Way North and North 41st Street.
According to a Seattle Times article from the time, the Stoneway Kid was crossing Stone Way North in a crosswalk at North 41st Street about 4:40 p.m. when a driver who witnesses said drover around other cars, struck him.
The boy was seriously injured and was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
As he wrote in his own words: “I was hit by a car and all but died because a well known crosswalk didn’t have proper signage. There was also the terrible driver but he was a low life without much to his name,”.
According to his AMA, he suffered serious injuries and currently deals with some long term disabilities. However, he said the money he won – more than 7 mil less than 20 mil – is being invested by money managers enabling him to live a comfortable life and carry out some charity work in his spare time.
His mother also carried out a safety campaign for years following the accident to make that particular crosswalk safe.
