The Nollywood film industry has been hit with another heartbreaking loss following the passing of actor Big Larry.

The sad news was shared by popular movie producer Stanley Nwoke, also known as Stanley Ontop, through an Instagram post.

In his post, Nwoke wrote: “Breaking News: Nollywood actor Big Larry has just passed away. Je nke Oma big. The cause of his death is still unknown. Rest in peace, Big Larry. Nollywood Asaba mourns. Shalom!!”

Details surrounding Big Larry’s death remain unclear, leaving fans and colleagues in shock and grief. The news has triggered an outpouring of tributes across social media, with many in the Nollywood community expressing their heartfelt condolences and mourning the actor’s sudden loss.

Nollywood has faced an incredibly tough year in 2024, with the loss of numerous industry talents since January. Among those mourned are Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi‘ Oyeyemi, and Junior Pope.
