Charlie Dior, stylist and fashion critic , recently spoke about his father’s role in shaping his upbringing during an interview on The Delay Show. Dior reflected on how his father would often correct his posture and behavior.
“My dad would say, ‘Don’t stand like this, stand like that.” He explained that these corrections weren’t because his father didn’t care for him, but rather because he was concerned about Dior’s future.
“It wasn’t out of a lack of love; he was trying to prepare me for a life that he knew would be challenging for someone like me.”
He further explained that his father’s efforts were meant to help him fit into societal standards of masculinity. “He wanted me to align with how society expects a man to present himself,” Dior added.
Charlie Dior is well-known for his sharp critiques of celebrity fashion, highlighting both the best-dressed and those with fashion missteps.
