Brooklyn Pendarvis, Highland High School Student Tragically Dies

A student of the Highland High School in Arkansas, Brooklynn Grace Pendarvis, has tragically died. She was 16.

Brooklynn’s death was reported on Friday, September 13th, 2024 via a statement from her aunt, Bri Hubbard Riley. A cause of death was not revealed.

“I don’t even have words. Please pray for our family. My niece Brooklynn was the funniest, sweetest, most upbeat person I’d ever met. Our hearts are broken and our family will never be the same. ” Riley said.

Pendarvis was described as a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a devout Christian who worked tirelessly at bringing the gospel to others. Her final post on social media was a biblical quote, reading: “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” Philippians 2:13.

In order to help her family, a fundraiser has been organized to raise money via Square. The organizer described the impact Brooklyn made in the Highland community as massive.

Many people pledged to donate and shared words of comfort to the Pendarvis family.

“Sending so many prayers to The Pendarvis Family!! Prayers and hugs for all the kids that go to Highland High School!” one such post read.

 

Her funeral arrangements were announced as such: Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, at A.L. Hudson in Highland, Arkansas, starting at 1 PM, followed by the funeral service beginning at 3 PM.
