It’s Hypocritical To Say Christians Should Not Listen To Secular Music – Joyce Blessing Speaks Out

Published by

Ghanaian gospel singer Joyce Blessing has rejected claims that listening to secular music undermines the spiritual well-being of gospel artists. While some religious leaders and gospel musicians argue that Christians should avoid secular songs, Blessing considers such beliefs hypocritical.

In an interview with 3FM, she explained her stance, using songs like Akwaboah’s “No Pressure” and Sarkodie’s verse in “Countryside” with Black Sherif as examples of secular music with motivational messages.

Joyce Blessing emphasized that not all secular music contradicts Christian values, pointing out that certain songs can provide inspiration and should not be entirely dismissed.
