Madison De La Garza is an American actress, producer, writer and director. She is also the younger half-sister of famous actress and pop star, Demi Lovato.
De La Garza broke the internet on Friday, September 5th, 2024 when she announced some massive news on Instagram – she’s pregnant!
Madison and her boyfriend, Ryan Mitchell, are set to be parents for the first time.
She made the big announcement by sharing a slew of photos from her baby shower alongside her boyfriend and other close friends and family, including Demi herself!
“Oh ryan, how I love you. thank you for making all of my dreams come true. ♥️ baby mitchell 10.24,” she captioned the post.
The post drew tens of thousands of likes and of course, thousands of comments, led by Demi Lovato who commented on the photos: “I love you and this baby so much already!!”
Madison and Demi’s mother, former country singer Dianna De La Garza, also commented in glee and ecstasy: “Woohoooo I’m gonna be a REAL GRANDMA D NOW!!!! Love youuuuu!!❤️❤️❤️”

Madison De La Garza born December 28, 2001 is an American actress, screenwriter, director and producer, popularly known for appearing as a child star on Desperate Housewives and as the younger sister of pop star Demi Lovato. She is 22-years-old.
The two are half-siblings, born to the same mom Dianna De La Garza, a former professional cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys and a country singer. Demi was born to Dianna and Patrick Martin Lovato on August 20, 1992 and Madison was born to Dianna and Eddie De La Garza some nine years later.
Madison started her career as a child actress appearing on several of her famous sister’s Disney projects including Sonny with a Chance and Princess Protection Program. However, she truly broke out into the public consciousness with her casting as Juanita Solis on Desperate Housewives, the daughter of Eva Longoria’s character Gabrielle Solis and her husband Carlos (played by Ricardo Chavira).

De La Garza had an impressive run on the show, appearing in four seasons encompassing 72 episodes. It was a double-edged sword, gaining fame and fortune but also being subject to harsh criticisms about her weight and appearance despite being only 6 years upon joining the show, as she revealed on the ‘Heart of the Matter’ podcast.
“The reactions that I got to my character on Desperate Housewives, it was just shocking. A lot of people came at it in a way that they were ‘concerned for my health.’ And I personally believe that that’s just not true, that that was a cover-up so that they could just judge a 6-year-old.” she said.
According to her, this manifested in her developing an eating disorder at that very age as she tried starving herself. Madison revealed she wasn’t allowed to browse online but she’d do it anyway and read truly horrible comments on YouTube and TMZ, some of them of people telling her they wished her dead.
“Reading comments like that definitely affected my mental health and ultimately played into me developing an eating disorder at a very young age,” she added.
Nevertheless, Madison emerged from the experience stronger and continued improving on herself. She graduated High School in June 2019 and enrolled in screenwriting at Chapman University. She has gone on to become a highly successful producer/director.
Aside from playing Juanita Solis, her other acting roles include Kelsey on the sitcom Bad Teacher and in Subject 16. She produced/directed as well as starred in the latter, which was for Amazon Prime. Her other directorial credits include the short films Pink Elephant and the Imbalancing Act. She directed ‘Surprise’, a mystery thriller that premiered on YouTube starring various YouTube influencers and personalities.
