New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential candidate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has received some criticism over his attack on former President Mahama’s idea for a 24-hr economy.
NAPO during a recent campaign event, stated that the NDC’s idea for a 24 hour economy is nonsensical because even the creator of the Universe, God, sleeps at night.
“There is no country in this world that works for 24 hours. Even God who created the world sleeps during the night,” he said.
NAPO’s comments sparked heated clapbacks from the NDC. Ningo Prampram member of Parliament, Sam George, fired back at NAPO for blaspheming against God.
Social media users shared similar sentiments, with one person saying: “Eiiii if it wasn’t this guy I wouldn’t know there was a mattress in heaven ooo ei”
NAPO has become notorious for making controversial statements on the campaign trail since his selection as the NPP’s running mate.
Many claim that if he continues on that path he will be a liability for Dr Bawumia in regards to the upcoming elections.
