Rich Homie Quan, the Atlanta-based rapper famous for hits like “Type of Way” and “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),” has sadly passed away at 33. His family and a spokesperson from the Fulton County morgue confirmed that the rapper was found dead at his home in Atlanta on Thursday. His family expressed deep sorrow, saying they are heartbroken and still looking for answers as the cause of his death remains unknown.

Born Dequantes Lamar, RHQ gained widespread recognition in 2013 with his chart-topping song “Type of Way,” and followed it up with fan favorites like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Ride Out.” Although there are online speculations about a possible drug overdose,  his family has yet to officially confirm these rumors.

Many in the music industry have paid tribute to RHQ, including Quavo, Lil Boosie, and Playboi Carti. Singer Jacquees took to X to honor his late friend, writing, “Rest in Peace my brother Rich Homie Quan,” and calling him a “legend” while expressing his enduring love for the rapper.
