Kylee Piersol, Texas A&M Student Killed in Car Accident Honored with Silver Taps Tribute

Kylee Elizabeth Piersol, a student of the Texas A&M University (TAMU) who died in a car accident before she could graduate, has been honored with the Silver Taps tribute.

Piersol was studying in the College of Public Health at TAMU and was due to graduate in December when she died in a car accident in March.

The March 9th accident cut short the dreams of the aspiring nurse. She was 22.

Several months after her death, Kylee Piersol received her final tribute in the Silver Taps ceremony held by the University. Other honorees include Economics major Thomas R. Connolly, Industrial Distribution major Elshadai Bekele Getnet, and Public Service and Administration major, Kevin Linn Palmer. The Silver Taps honor is a final tribute held for any Aggie enrolled in undergraduate or graduate courses at the time of their death.

Piersol’s family described her as passionate, genuine, a baseball fanatic, and an immense bookworm.

She loved music, basketball, volleyball and her family.

According to her obituary, Kylee Elizabeth Piersol was born in Houston, Texas, on July 24, 2001, to Drew and Mitzi Piersol. She had two brothers, Peyton and Landon.
