Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo recently opened up about the challenges she and her husband, Praye Tietia, faced on their journey to parenthood during the christening celebration of their twins on Saturday, August 31.
The actress expressed deep gratitude to God for blessing their family with twins after nine long years of trying to conceive following their marriage.
Reflecting on their love story, Selly shared how they endured ridicule on social media due to their inability to start a family.
“Last year, I cried a lot, but it’s all to the glory of God. About sixteen years ago, this man met me, and his life changed. I am the most special thing that has ever happened to him. But here we are, so much in love, blessed, yet we were lacking something so special”
She continued, “The bond we have now completes us and our love. It was nine difficult years, but God did not shame us. I was mocked on social media several times; the comments were hard to ignore. But here we are, blessed with twins,” she shared.
Selly also revealed that she had conceived during those nine years, but tragically lost the pregnancy. “I did get pregnant along the way, but God said it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us that something greater was ahead. Now, here we are, celebrating double blessings—a boy and a girl.”
Her testimony serves as a powerful reminder of faith and perseverance through trials, with the couple now joyfully embracing parenthood.
