Brandon Powell, a veteran firefighter with Norfolk Fire-Rescue in Norfolk, VA, has tragically passed on.
Powell, a 17-year veteran of the Norfolk Fire-Rescue team, tragically died Thursday, August 29th. No cause of death has been publicly revealed.
Powell’s death was revealed by his distraught mom, Diana, who in a post on Facebook said the family had suffered a devastating loss. Describing her son as ‘one of a kind’, she said he will be truly missed.
“Keep the Powell Family in prayer This one right here was a difficult one for us well all of them are but this one was dear to my heart I have been there from the beginning. Brandon Powell you was one of a kind and will truly be missed by ALL. Rest well baby until we meet again!!” Diana said.

Tributes poured in for the veteran firefighter, with many noting his incredible skill as a firefighter and advanced EMT. He was also praised for always smiling and lightening the mood in a room no matter the situation.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Kamber Powell, and their children.
