Actor John Dumelo has been slammed by social media users after an insensitive comment he made about the Ayawaso West Wuogon sitting MP, Lydia Alhassan.
Dumelo, during a town hall meeting organized by TV3, accused the MP of being responsible for her late husband’s passing in order to inherit his seat.
The actor-turned-politician made the controversial remark out of anger after NPP supporters at the town hall started chanting ‘V8’ towards him while speaking.
Dumelo said if the NPP supporters want to make personal attacks against him then he can also accuse their MP of being behind her late husband’s death.
The actor later apologized for the remark but angry social media users roasted him anyway.
One netizen said his comments were completely below the belt and if that’s how he wants to behave then he can also be accused of ‘sacrificing’ his mother in order to win political power!
