A Columbian-American businesswoman in San Jose, California, Daisy Castillo, has been killed by her partner in a tragic incident that has left her family and friends in mourning.
Castillo, 35, was killed Sunday, August 25th 2024, reportedly at the hands of her boyfriend, who social media has identified as Josue Sencion.
According to reporting from Colombian media, Sencion, a Mexican national, brutally assaulted Castillo in a van during a jealous fit of rage, and then when she tried to escape him, ran her over.
U.S media reported an accident occurred on North 33rd Street, near Marburg Way in San Jose, attracting the attention of witnesses. Police were called to the scene and found Castillo lying in the street unconscious.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.

Reports say Josue Sencion later turned himself in to authorities.
Castillo was the owner of the cosmetic company Auric Glow and was described as a well-known commodity in the beauty and cosmetic industry in her local area. Her death has stunned many and left those who knew her mourning the loss of a great friend and family member.
The deceased is survived by her 13-year-old daughter, Aliyah Dayanara.
To help her with her mom’s funeral and other costs, a GoFundMe was started for Aliyah. The fundraiser quickly met its $10,000 goal.
