Multiple award-winning broadcast journalist, Berla Mundi, was among the journalists present at the press conference held by NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in Accra on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

During the event, Berla Mundi posed a critical question to Dr. Bawumia, asking whether the NPP party should apologize to Ghanaians for not fulfilling their promises and for deceiving the public.

In response to her question about whether the NPP government should apologize, given the current state of the economy, Dr. Bawumia chose to highlight some of the achievements of the NPP rather than directly addressing the question.

Dr. Bawumia pointed out several accomplishments of the NPP during their term in government. He mentioned the introduction of the Ghana Card, which has become a crucial tool for identification and verification, simplifying access to various services for Ghanaians.

He also highlighted the implementation of the digital address system, which has improved navigation and delivery services across the country.

Additionally, Dr. Bawumia noted the successful rollout of the mobile money interoperability platform, which has significantly enhanced financial inclusion.
