A Mebane, North Carolina mother of two, Jenna Goode, has tragically passed, leaving her close family and friends absolutely devastated.

Goode is being remembered by everyone close to her as a beautiful soul and a light among darkness.

Originally from Pleasant Grove, Jenna Goode built her life in Mebane. She was mother to two children, Teegan and Ollie who she loved more than anything in the world and partner to Tyler McSwain, her fiancé.

Jenna died Friday, August 23rd at the very young age of 27. Her fiancé, Tyler, announced the sad news in a heartbreaking post on social media.

“The ying to my yang, the apple of my eye, the light of my world, my fiancé, the love of my life… Jenna Goode I never thought I would be typing this😔😔 We had so much and I will hold onto that never ending love for the rest of my life,” he wrote in a loving tribute to his deceased fiancée.

Tyler added in his post that he will take care of the boys and honor Jenna’s memory to the best of his abilities.

“May your beautiful, energetic, soul rest in peace. 💔 I love you with every ounce of my heart and I promise to take care of our precious little boys to the best of my abilities!” he wrote.

He concluded by asking for the public to keep him, the boys and their families in their prayers.

Jacob Goode, Jenna’s brother, also paid tribute to her, noting she was the girl every other girl wanted to be. He described her as the ‘high school queen’ who was nevertheless very ‘nice and kind’ but also ready to defend her brothers at every turn.

The tragic death of Jenna Goode at such a young age and leaving behind two young boys has brought the Mebane community together in grief.

A meal train has been organized for the family to lighten the tragic burden they’re currently facing. The donation has been progressing well with over $6,000 raised out of an estimated $10,000 goal.
