A deadly accident on the Cape Coast-Takoradi road has claimed the lives of at least eleven Ghanaians and left several more with serious injuries.

The accident which occurred early Sunday involved three vehicle, a passenger Sprinter bus, a Tipper truck and an articulated truck.

According to reports, the articulated truck was attempting to overtake the tipper truck on a sharp curve when the fully loaded sprinter van, travelling from Accra to Takoradi, crashed into them.

The collision led to a catastrophic end with at least eleven reported killed. Several others have sustained varying degrees of injury.

The injured were carted to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The accident is just the latest in a long string of crashes littering Ghanaian roads with casualties.
