A fundraiser following the tragic death of a Scottsdale, AZ young man identified as Collin Gillepsie managed to raise in excess of $10k.
Gillepsie suddenly died last week, according to reports. His cause of death was not revealed.
According to those who knew him, he was a delight to be around and possessed that heavily sought after ability to light up any room. Gillepsie was also reportedly a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs, a nod to his roots.
Following his death, Ben Metrick, a close friend of Gillepsie’s, started a GoFundMe fundraiser.

According to Metrick, he was soliciting for funds to help Gillepsie’s family in his funeral and other expenses.
The heartfelt plea worked as he quickly raised in excess of his $10,000 goal in just about 12 hours. The final tally for the fundraiser was almost $14,000 with GoFundMe surely prepared to take their cut.
