Gray Cassidy, 19, of Oxford, Mississippi, is being mourned by friends and family after his tragic death in an accident.
Cassidy died on Sunday, August 18th following a fatal crash that occurred on the 500 Block of County Road 103 in Lafayette County.
He had reportedly been driving when he lost control of his vehicle and ended up with the vehicle upside down in a pond.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette County Fire Department and a private towing company, worked in conjunction to retrieve the vehicle.
Gray Mills Cassidy, of Oxford, Mississippi, was found deceased inside the car.
Gray Mills was born August 31, 2004, in Benton, AR to his parents, Farra LaNese Sheridan and James Pittman Cassidy, Jr., both of Oxford, MS. He was the eldest of his parent’s four children.
He graduated from Oxford High School and continue his education at Mississippi State University, majoring in Agricultural Science. He pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity while on campus.

Following his graduation, Cassidy joined his father’s construction company, Jim Cassidy Construction LLC, back in Oxford. He soon formed his own company, Young Buck’s Handyman Services, and quickly won over a substantial amount of clients with his talents and winning personality.
According to his obituary, Gray Cassidy was kind, loving, friendly, respectful and helpful. He left an impression on all who knew him, in one way or another.
