Jude Okoye, the older brother of Paul and Peter of P-Square and former manager of the now-disbanded music group P-Square, has denied accusations that he diverted millions of dollars from the group’s royalties into a private account. The issue came to light when Peter Okoye, one of the members of P-Square, claimed that he discovered a secret company called Northside Music, which Jude and his wife, Ifeoma Okoye, allegedly used to funnel money away from the group.
However, in a live session on Instagram, he denied these accusations, insisting that Northside Music was not a hidden entity. He explained that he created the company in 2013, with Peter’s full knowledge, and even signed artist Cynthia Morgan under the label.
Addressing his recent questioning by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Jude stated that the funds in question were his rightful share, based on an agreement to split P-Square’s royalties three ways. He also presented his Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) documents to prove his legitimate 40 percent stake in the group’s earnings.
He revealed that he has not been involved with P-Square since 2016, highlighting that the rift between Peter and Paul began in 2013 and ultimately led to the group’s official split in 2016.
