Nana Poku Ashis, the manager of Kwabena Kwabena, responded to Deputy Minister Mark Okraku-Mantey’s remarks regarding the impact of Kwabena Kwabena’s political affiliations on his career. Ashis disagreed with Okraku-Mantey’s assertion that Kwabena Kwabena’s career flourished solely due to his endorsement of the NPP.
Ashis explained that while Kwabena Kwabena initially received support after endorsing the NPP in 2008, his career faced challenges after the NPP’s loss in the 2012 election. The singer encountered backlash from fans aligned with the opposition, leading to a decline in support and attendance at his shows.
Despite these difficulties, Kwabena Kwabena persevered and continued to work hard, hoping for support from the NPP following their victory in the 2016 election. However, Ashis noted that the expected assistance from the party did not materialize, leaving Kwabena Kwabena to navigate his career struggles.
