A GoFundMe fundraiser has been started for a Sumrall, Mississippi father of four, Brent Odom, who was killed in a shooting incident.
Brent died on August 3rd, 2024, reportedly after being shot by his own uncle Brian Odom.
He was 33.
Brent left behind his wife, Chandler, and four young kids.
His family started a GoFundMe following his death to raise funds for his surviving wife and kids. Brent worked as a project manager for Red Roofing in Hattiesburg and was the family’s sole breadwinner.
The fundraiser stated: “As many of you know, we have recently faced the tragic and sudden loss of a beloved member of our community, Brent Odom, who was the sole provider for his family of six. This unexpected tragedy has left his family – Chandler his loving wife and their four beautiful children – in a very difficult position, both emotionally and financially,”

Numerous tributes also flooded social media attesting to the great man Brent had been.
“He was an inspiration and role model to many, with an infectious energy and kind heart. He had a way of lighting up any room he entered and was the glue that held our family together,” his junior brother said in a post on social media.
