U.S-based Ghanaian political and social commentator, Twene Jonas has caused a stir following comments he passed in a new live video.

Jonas, in his latest live video in which he attacks all the perceived ills he sees in Ghanaian society, took aim at the overlord of the Ashanti kingdom, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II.

According to Jonas, despite all the mineral wealth of the Ashanti kingdom, the region continues to lag behind Accra in regards to development.

Jonas accused the Asantehene of pocketing all the region’s wealth for his personal use and doing nothing to aid development.

He even claimed that money that the government allocates for the development of the region is also pocketed by Otumfuo.

Jonas continued his tirade by adding that in his view, the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, is far more sensible than the Asantehene, claiming that he has been informed that Nana Agyeman Badu is constructing a place of residence for police officers in his region.

The Dormaahene is currently in a bitter feud with the Asantehene over who is the overlord and who is the vassal hence Jonas’ comments are sure to spark a firestorm on social media.
