Rachael Lillis Voice Actor from “Pokémon” Passes Away

Rachael Lillis, the talented voice actor known for her iconic roles in the “Pokémon” series, passed away on August 10, 2024, at age 55. Lillis, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, was celebrated for her memorable performances as Misty, Jessie, and other characters.

Veronica Taylor, her co-star from “Pokémon,” shared the news on X, describing Lillis as a “bright light” with extraordinary talent. Lillis’s voice brought to life some of the most beloved characters in the Pokémon universe, including Misty, the water-type gym leader, and Jessie from the villainous Team Rocket. Her work extended to voicing Jigglypuff and Goldeen in various games and movies, including “Pokémon: The First Movie” and “Pokémon Heroes.”
