A fan of Accra Hearts of Oak collapsed and died on Sunday during the club’s Homowo Cup match against Hearts of Lions.
The game, which was held to commemorate the Homowo celebrations, ended up in tragedy for one particular family.
A Hearts of Oak fan who was at the stadium to watch the game reportedly collapsed after Heart of Lions took an early lead in the game.
The fan was rushed to the hospital but tragically, did not survive.
The news has stunned all who heard it as many mourn the tragic loss of life.
In a twist of fate, Hearts of Oak ended up equalizing and then won the game on penalties.
