Lukas Schreiber, a Hall High School Student in West Hartford, CT, has been tragically reported dead by school authorities.
Schreiber’s death occurred unexpectedly on Friday, August 9th 2024.
School superintendent Paul Vicinus sent out a statement informing the school community of the tragic occurrence.
“The loss of a child is unimaginable, and our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with the Schreiber family, their friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” he said.
Schreiber was entering his senior year and was a student athlete. He participated in swimming and lacrosse and had some interesting college prospects ahead of him.
Tragically, his dreams could not be fulfilled with news of his abrupt death. No cause of death has been released at this time.

Hall High School is providing a crisis response team to help students and staff deal with the enormous loss they just suffered.
“In the days and weeks ahead, students may have questions and concerns relating to death or may struggle with coping with a loss,” a letter from the administration states.
“As we come together to remember and honor Lukas, let us support one another with compassion and understanding. Hall’s strength lies in our collective care and support during times of difficulty,” the letter concludes.
