A California teenager Samantha Sami Liber has died after sustaining a traumatic brain accident following an ATV accident.
Sami Liber lost her life following the ATV crash on Shadow Mountain.
She went out for a ride Tuesday at the popular recreation area when things went wrong.
According to her guide company, Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals, Liber was involved in a horrible accident and sustained severe injuries.
She was riding her ATV within a bigger group but somehow got separated from the group. She was on a guided tour offered by Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals and was riding with her mother and sister behind her.

Sadly, Sami Liber crashed her ATV in a horrible accident and sustained serious injuries despite having a helmet on.
The Teton County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and they activated their Search and Rescue operation.
A critically injured Liber was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center but died early Thursday morning. She was only 16.
The owner of the rental company who organized the trip, Becca Walters, said the company is working on making trips safer despite this tragedy.
“We’ll always re-examine everything we do and see if there’s a way we can make it safer,” Walters said Thursday.
She added: “But she was wearing a helmet. She had a safety briefing. It was at the end of a tour, so she had done the whole thing without a problem. But, we’re all processing it and trying to figure out the best way to move forward and have everything be as safe as it can be for our customers.”
Such a tragedy would be incredibly hard for her family to deal with considering her youth and unfulfilled future promise.
